La Prensa Group

Grafiche Lama is the In-Mould specialist of La Prensa Etichette, an italian printing group dedicated to labels and packaging solutions since 1966. The company continuously innovates its printing technology: the recent installation (2022) of a super high-tech Heidelberg XL 106 7 + V + Cutstar trivalent (hybrid/UV/led). To further enhance its production, in 2023 the company installed a new Heidelberg 5-colour with cut-star for the offset department, a new Bobst Vision 8-colour for the flexo department and a Whollenberg/Blumer line for the cutting department.

The investments also include the addition of a complete line for the production of flexographic plates with water-based development, for which La Prensa Etichette Italia is the world leader.

La Prensa is growing steadily with acquisitions and investments in technology that allows extreme care and precision productions. The company continuously innovates its printing process, services and technology.

An entire ecosystem dedicated to achieving the best print vertex and the highest customer satisfaction. From wet glue paper labels / Cut&Stack, IML Labels to wrapped around labels / Roll fed – BoPP, from self-adhesive labels (PSL) – Shrink Sleeves –Wrapped around labels to Cutting and Die-Cutting paper labels, IML Labels.

Timeline

1966

La Prensa Etichette Italia was founded in Milan by two brothers, Diego and Sergio Delfino, who made label printing their profession.

1974

Over the years the company expanded and moved to San Giuliano Milanese where technology and professionalism evolved with great strides.

1983

The two brothers were more actively succeeded by their children, Elena and Emanuele, who brought a breath of fresh air and enthusiasm to the company.

2012

Flexo Labels Italia was established for plastic and flexible packaging printing for all sectors

2015

Acquisition of Fusteltaglio Italia, for the cutting and die-cutting of labels and commercial printing.

2016

Acquisition of Summit Press for the production of adhesive, shrink sleeve and roll fed labels.

2022

A new plant in via Buozzi was established for label cutting and packaging.

2024

In 2024 Grafiche Lama joins the large La Prensa family to transfer a unique experience and a story of innovations and success in the In-Mould world.

Certifications

A.I.M. Progress – Sedex

In 2012, 2018 2022 La Prensa Etichette Italia passed the audit sponsored by A.I.M. PROGRESS (Association des Industries Marque) (PROGramme for RESponsible Sourcing), which certifies the ethical behaviour of the company towards customers and employees. FSSC 2200

Starting in 2021, we are certified for food safety based on the internationally recognised ISO 22000 standard, supplemented with respective technical standards.

FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) Certification

Since 2017, La Prensa Etichette Italia guarantees the traceability of materials from FSC-certified forests. With this certification, our company can garantee to the market the origin of the paper used in our products and thus demonstrate in a correct, transparent and controlled manner our active contribution to responsible forest management.

DPG Certification (Deutsche Pfand GmbH)

Since 2006, La Prensa Etichette Italia has been the first Italian company to be certified and authorised to produce labels for plastic containers subject to the security system in the German market.
